Hetzner’s Primary IPs provide dedicated public IPv4 and IPv6 addresses that exist separately from your server instances. This decoupling means the address persists even if you delete or replace the underlying hardware, allowing you to maintain consistent network identity across different compute resources without reassigning static configurations.
