Azure Databricks
Azure Databricks runs as a managed platform for open data lakehouses on Microsoft Azure. It handles the heavy lifting for data analytics and AI strategy, providing an intelligent environment where you can process large datasets and build machine learning models without managing the underlying infrastructure yourself.
This setup suits teams already committed to the Azure ecosystem who need a unified space for analytics and AI workloads. The main friction point is the lack of a free tier, meaning you pay from the start at $0.0700 per unit under a pay-as-you-go model, so even small experiments incur immediate costs.
