AWS Migration

AWS Migration Hub

AWS Migration Hub acts as a central dashboard for tracking application and server migrations across various tools. It aggregates status updates from different migration services, giving you a unified view of progress without needing to switch between multiple consoles. This simplifies the oversight phase of moving workloads to AWS, providing visibility into which assets have been migrated and which are still pending.

Since it’s always free, there’s no cost barrier to using it for tracking purposes. The trade-off is that it doesn’t perform the actual migration; it only monitors progress from other services. You still need to pay for the underlying migration tools or compute resources, so while the hub itself costs nothing, the real expense lies in the execution services it tracks.
